Add the ground beef to a bowl. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
▢
Add the egg, then mix everything together until just combined. Try not to overmix so the patties stay tender.
▢
Slice the onions and cook them in a pan with a little oil or butter over medium-low heat until soft, golden, and caramelized.

Roll the seasoned beef into your preferred patty size, then flatten each one into a burger patty.

Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the patties for a few minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
