Wash the strawberries and blueberries well, then gently pat them dry with paper towels.
Slice the strawberries into halves or thick slices, depending on their size.
Peel the bananas and cut them into thick rounds. Try not to slice them too thin, so they stay firm on the skewers.
Cut the cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese into bite-size cubes.
Thread the fruit and cheese onto each wooden skewer in any pattern you like. A simple pattern is blueberry, strawberry, banana, cheese, then repeat until the skewer is filled.
Arrange the skewers on a serving tray and serve right away.
