  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/3 cup milk powder
  • 1 tbsp bread improver

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/4 cup cold water

Equipments

  • 1 stand mixer with dough hook
  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 kitchen scale
  • 1 donut cutter
  • 1 baking sheet (or tray)
  • 1 clean kitchen towel (or plastic wrap)
  • 1 deep pot (or deep fryer)
  • 1 slotted spoon (or spider strainer)
  • 1 cooling rack
  • 1 shallow bowl for sugar coating
  • 1 cooking thermometer (optional)

Directions

  1. Beat Ingredients A at low speed with the hook attachment until the dough does not stick to the mixing bowl.
  2. Add butter and continue to beat until the dough becomes shinny and elastic. Rest the dough for 10 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into 60g each and cut out with a donut cutter.
  4. Let it rise until double in size about 45 minutes.
  5. Deep-fry donuts in hot oil until golden brown.
  6. When cold, coat with fine granulated sugar and icing sugar.
