  • 250 g self-raising flour
  • 3 tsp double-acting baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • tsp mustard powder

  • 150 g buttermilk

  • 1 pastry cutter (or fork)
  • 1 kitchen scale
  • 1 measuring spoon set
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 cheese grater
  • 1 round biscuit cutter
  • 1 rolling pin
  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 sheet of parchment paper
  • 1 oven
  • 1 cooling rack

Directions

  1. Combine Ingredients A and B in a bowl. Rub the mixture with your fingers until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  2. Add grated cheese and mix well.
  3. Make a well in the middle of the mixture, then add buttermilk. Combine thoroughly.
  4. Flatten the dough and cut out with a round biscuit cutter.
  5. Sprinkle self-raising flour on top of scones.
  6. Bake at 200°C for 9 minutes.
