Ingredients

  • 1 large watermelon
  • 1/2 cup thick cream whipped cream, or sweetened cream cheese spread
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 4-5 strawberries sliced
  • 1 kiwi peeled and sliced
  • 1–2 tbsp melted chocolate optional
  • fresh mint leaves optional for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 chef’s knife
  • 1 paper towel
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 measuring spoon
  • 1 spoon or offset spatula
  • 1 small microwave-safe bowl
  • 1 serving plate
  • 1 refrigerator

Method

  1. Cut a thick round slice from the center of a whole watermelon.
  2. Pat the top of the watermelon dry with a paper towel so the cream spreads better.
  3. Slice the watermelon round into 8 pizza-style wedges, but keep the pieces together in a circle.
  4. Spread the thick cream evenly over the watermelon, leaving a little border around the edge.
  5. Arrange the blueberries, sliced strawberries, and kiwi on top.
  6. Drizzle with melted chocolate, if using.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve cold and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For better flavor, mix the thick cream with a little honey, vanilla, or lemon zest before spreading it over the watermelon. It gives the watermelon pizza a creamier, brighter taste without making it too heavy.
