Ingredients
  

Ingredients A (Caramelized sugar)
  • 300 g granulated sugar
  • 50 ml hot water
Ingredients B
  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g mixed fruit
  • 300 g wheat flour sifted
  • 1 tsp baking soda sifted
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar sifted
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Method
 

  1. Put the sugar in a pot. Press 'STIR FRY' and 'ON'. Stir slowly until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add mixed fruit and press 'OFF'. Set aside.
  3. When warm, gradually add the sifted ingredients to the mixture and stir well with a wooden spoon.
  4. Beat the eggs and vanilla extract in a small bowl, then pour them into the flour mixture. Stir well.
  5. Pour the mixture into a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  6. Place a clean kitchen towel in the pot. Place the rack and water in the pot.
  7. Place the baking pan in the pot and cover it.
  8. Set the button to 'STEAM'. Press 'STEAM' 60 minutes and 'ON'.
  9. When the pot beeps, release the pressure. If there is no beeping sound, press 'OFF' and slowly open the pot lid. Cool the cake before serving.
  10. Now the Steamed Fruit Cake is ready to be served.
