Orange Chicken

Orange Chicken

Be the first to review!
Orange Chicken is a crispy, sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy chicken dish made with bite-sized chicken breast pieces coated in a light flour batter, fried until golden, then tossed in a glossy orange sauce. It has that takeout-style flavor with simple pantry ingredients like orange juice, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, honey, garlic, and chili powder. Serve it warm with rice for an easy homemade lunch or dinner.

  5. Fry the coated chicken until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.

Notes

  1. One orange is enough for this recipe.
  2. You can use any part of the chicken you like.
  3. If using minced ginger instead of ginger powder, add it while seasoning the chicken.
  4. If you do not have rice flour, use 70g cornstarch + 30g plain flour instead, though the texture may be a little less crispy.
