A simple, hearty fried rice-style dish made right in the pressure cooker with sausage, cabbage, onion, and buttery rice. It is filling, budget-friendly, and perfect for a quick family meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion finely diced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 cups rice rinsed and drained
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 4 sausages sliced
  • 1/2 head of cabbage finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 2 stalks green onions coarsely chopped

Method
 

  1. Press 'Stir Fry' and 'ON'. Add the butter. Sauté the Dutch onion and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add the rice, water, sausages, cabbage, ground black pepper, and salt.
  3. Stir well and press 'OFF'.
  4. Close the pot. Set the dial to Pressure. Press High Pressure for 6 minutes and ON.
  5. When the pot beeps, press Off. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.
  6. Open the pot. Add the scallions.
  7. Fluff the rice and it’s ready to serve.
