Fig and Goat Cheese Crostini

Be the first to review!
Our Fig and Goat Cheese Crostini has a certain effortless elegance about it. On a nice, crisp bit of toasted baguette we put down some creamy goat cheese with fresh fig wedges and a little sweet jam for good measure. You get a pleasant mix of tangy, sweet and crunchy with the creaminess to match. It is an appetizer with flair but one that does not demand much of your time to assemble. Good party fare, or you can add it to the platter for a holiday brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 fresh baguette sliced into 1/2-inch rounds

  • 4 oz goat cheese softened
  • 1/3 cup fig spread or fig jam

Notes

  1. For extra flavor, drizzle the crostini with a little honey or balsamic glaze before serving. A small sprinkle of flaky salt, black pepper, or fresh thyme also pairs beautifully with the creamy goat cheese and sweet figs.
  2. For the best texture, assemble the crostini close to serving time so the bread stays crisp. You can toast the baguette slices ahead of time, then add the toppings just before serving.
