Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup full cream milk warm
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Peel and cut potatoes into medium-sized chunks.
  2. Place potatoes in a pot of cold water, add 1 tsp salt, and bring to a boil. Cook until fork-tender.
  3. Drain well, then return potatoes to the pot over low heat. Stir for 3 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  4. Pass the potatoes through a fine-mesh sieve or mash until smooth.
  5. Gradually mix in melted butter, then add warm milk.
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste and mix until creamy.
