- Drain and rinse the chickpeas well.
- Add the chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, garlic powder or fresh garlic, olive oil, salt, and ice cubes.
- Blend everything together until creamy.
- Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of cold water if needed to help it blend and to make the hummus extra smooth.
- Taste the hummus and add more salt or lemon juice if needed.
- Spoon into a bowl, drizzle with a little olive oil, and finish with a dash of paprika on top.
